What is the difference between Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on ground fighting and submission holds. Muay Thai (K1-Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Karate) is a stand-up striking art that focuses on kicks, punches, and elbow strikes. Mixed Martial Arts combines elements of both, as well as wrestling and other disciplines.
